The top-seeded West Orange High School varsity wrestling team defeated fourth-seeded Clifton, 36-32, in the semifinals of the state North Jersey Section 1, Group 4 tournament semifinals on Feb. 8.
The Mountaineers advanced to the sectional final for the third straight season. WOHS will host either North Bergen or Morris Knolls in the final on Friday Feb. 10.

The West Orange High School boys’ varsity basketball team has endured its ups and downs this season. The Mountaineers had a recent 6-13 record, including 3-9 record in the Super Essex Conference-Liberty Division.
Still, WOHS head coach Mark Cacciacarne has to be pleased with where his team is at.

Andre recieved his Personal Trainer Certification from the International Fitness Association. At the NFL Combine on Tue, 25 Mar 2008, He ran 10 yards in 1.59 seconds, 20 yards in 2.58 seconds and the 40-yard dash in 4.40 seconds. He ran the short shuttle in 4.34 seconds, the long shuttle in 11.58 seconds and the three-cone drill in 6.86 seconds. He measured a 30 1/2-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot-3 broad jump and completed 16 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press. Due to injuries, Andre’s career was cut short.
