FREE SENIOR CITIZEN PERFORMANCE
The West Orange High School Theater Department will perform THE WIZ as the spring musical this year. Tickets will be $10 in advance and $15 at the door. There will also be a special FREE senior citizen performance at 6:00pm on Wednesday, March 14th. Other performances: March 15, 16, 17 @ 7:30 AND Sunday, March 18 @2:00. $10 in advance $15 at the door.
THE WIZ is an urbanized retelling of L. Frank Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. The musical follows the adventures of Dorothy, a shy Harlem, New York schoolteacher who finds herself magically transported to the Land of Oz, which resembles a fantasy version of New York City. Befriended by a Scarecrow a Tin Man, and a Cowardly Lion, she travels through the land to seek an audience with the mysterious "Wiz", who they say has the power to take her home.
