A 5K Run with a Special Mission
Run or Walk to Break the Silence on Ovarian Cancer
The 21st Annual Mayor’s 5K Run/Walk to Break the Silence, sponsored by the Township and the Downtown West Orange Alliance, in collaboration with the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition is set for Sunday, October 16th, at 10 am. Formerly called the Mayor’s 5K Downtown Classic, this run has had a special mission for four years now. It is the vehicle by which we raise awareness and funds contributing to the Northern New Jersey Chapter of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC) and the Maureen Fund, in honor of our friend, and former Governor Richard Codey’s beloved assistant, who passed away at the mercy of this disease.
Registrations are being taken now at www.WalkforOvarianCancer.com.
